Healing Mind, Body and Heart
What happens when life changes the person you thought you would always be?
Healing, Mind, Body, and Heart is an intimate and inspiring journey of resilience, faith, self-love, and rediscovery.
At 41, Letitia D. Robertson was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, beginning a life-changing journey that would challenge her physically, mentally, and emotionally. At the same time, she found herself healing from the pain of a difficult marriage, betrayal, heartbreak, and the loss of the confidence she once knew.
As MS changed her mobility, energy, independence, and relationship with her body, Letitia had to learn something she never expected: how to grieve the woman she used to be while learning to love the woman she was becoming. She shares the importance of acknowledging that loss while recognizing that MS has not taken away her courage, voice, purpose, or ability to love and be loved.
But this isn't simply a story about illness.
It's a story about getting back up when life knocks you down.
It's about choosing peace over chaos, rebuilding self-esteem after heartbreak, adapting to a new normal, finding strength in family and community, and discovering that sometimes your greatest purpose can emerge from the very experience you never would have chosen for yourself.
Throughout her journey, Letitia discovers a deeper relationship with her faith. A Christian women's wellness retreat becomes an important turning point, helping her view her diagnosis through a new lens and embrace a life rooted in faith, confidence, community, peace, and purpose.
Healing, Mind, Body, and Heart speaks not only to people living with MS, but to anyone who has experienced an unexpected life change, heartbreak, disability, loss of confidence, or a season that forced them to become a new version of themselves.
Your life may change. Your body may change. Your relationships may change. But your story isn't over.
Sometimes healing isn't about becoming the person you used to be.
It's about discovering the strength, beauty, faith, and purpose in the person you are becoming.
